Barbara Woodhouse Williams

Barbara passed away on May 18, 2009. She was having lunch with her husband Neil at a restaurant in Columbus when her legs and arms became numb. She was taken by ambulance to the hospital and died soon after of an aortic aneurysm. The obituary below was published in the Springfield News-Sun.
Barbara W. Williams, 70, of South Vienna went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 18, 2009 in Mt. Carmel Hospital, Columbus. She was born in South Vienna, Ohio on April 3, 1939, the daughter of Robert W. and Mable M. (Kohl) Woodhouse. She was a 1957 graduate of Northeastern High School. Barbara was a member of The Potters House Church of God, Columbus, and was very active in church and loved to travel. She was a very loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents. Her survivors include her husband, Neil F. Williams, whom she married November 28, 1976, two sisters Ruth Ann (George) Ball of Medway, Linda (Jack) Mason of Colorado Springs, CO, one son Dirk (Diane) Smith of Houston, TX, stepsons Ted (Tanya) Williams of South Charleston, Stephen (Michelle) Williams of FL, stepdaughter Tonya (Mark) Schmunk of South Charleston, nine grandchildren Rebekah, Adam, Loren, Branden, Andrew, Anthony, Amanda, Elizabeth, and Chloe. Family and friends may call Thursday from 5-8 PM in the Richards, Raff & Dunbar Memorial Home. A celebration of Barbara's life will be at 11:00 AM Friday in The Potters House, 3220 Lowell Drive, Columbus with Pastor Tim Oldfield officiating. Burial to follow in Ferncliff Cemetery.
